The Draft Policy Module is an AI-powered policy and document generation engine designed to help in-house legal, compliance, and risk teams create tailored policies, procedures, and controls aligned to applicable regulations and your organization’s specific needs. It enables users to start with a model policy or build from scratch, while incorporating authoritative requirements, internal standards, and best practices.

The module integrates seamlessly with the Responsiv platform, so you can connect drafted policies to your control framework, track obligations, and push updates to relevant stakeholders.

Draft Policy Process

When you draft a policy:

  1. Recommended: Start with Deep Research

Use the Deep Research Module to gather authoritative references, regulatory requirements, and relevant guidance. This primes the system with knowledge tailored to your question and context.

  3. Answer Questions to Customize the Policy

Responsiv will prompt you with targeted questions to make sure the policy maps to your actual operations and organization, specific to this policy.

  4. Create Outline

The system generates an outline of the policy sections for your review and approval. Each section in the outline will be a section in the policy. The icons on the right side allow you to rename or delete a section. The plus icon at the bottom allows you to add a new section. You can drag and drop sections by clicking the dots on the left side of any section.

  5. Press Submit to Draft the Policy

Once you confirm the outline, click Submit. The drafting process may take a few minutes as the AI generates detailed content.

After drafting, you can download the policy in Word or PDF formats for further editing, legal review, and distribution.
